Student and Family Engagement Specialist (Anticipated) 24-25 | Student and Family Engagement Specialist | The East Irondequoit Central School District has an anticipated opening for a probationary Student and Family Engagement Specialist within the District for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The Student and Family Engagement Specialist will serve as a vital bridge between students' families and various support services by collaborating with community organizations to foster connections between the school and the community, promoting parental involvement and community engagement. The Student and Family Engagement Specialist will focus on reducing high absenteeism rates, improving academic performance, reducing the prevalence of bullying and violence in the district, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. The Student and Family Engagement Specialist will assist with the implementation of social-emotional programs to improve the social and emotional well-being of the children. They will follow a train-the-trainer model in conjunction with social workers, mental health staff, and teachers, sharing valuable expertise that can be applied in the classrooms.
