The East Irondequoit Central School District is accepting applications for Cafeteria Monitor positions in our Primary Schools (Grades K-2) and Intermediate Schools (Grades 3-5) throughout the 2020-21 school year. The approximate hours are 10:15 AM – 1:15 PM. The hours may vary by school location. These are 10 - month positions and follow the student calendar. Salary:  Miniumum Wage.

We are also accepting applications for substitute cafeteria monitors.

The East Irondequoit Central School District has openings for B Shift Cleaners. These are 12 month, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week positions. The location of these positions is to be determined.  Minimum Salary:  $12.50 per hour.

School Nurse Substitutes (RN) 2021-22School Nurse Substitutes (RN) 2021-22

There are immediate openings for School Nurse Substitutes in the East Irondequoit Central School District.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:  (All need not be performed in a given position.  Other related activities may be performed although not listed.)

  • Evaluates school-related injuries and completes district insurance forms;
  • Provides first aid and emergency treatment of injuries and illness of students and faculty;
  • Dispenses medication as ordered by physician and requested by parent in accordance with New York State Law;

 FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:  Good knowledge of nursing theory, principles and procedures; good knowledge of the physical, mental, emotional and social health problems of elementary and secondary school pupils; good knowledge of counseling techniques;  good knowledge of records maintenance; good knowledge of health screening procedures; ability to provide first aid and emergency treatment; ability to handle confidential records and information; tact; good judgment; integrity; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Substitute Teacher 2021-2022Sub teach 2021-2022

The East Irondequoit Central School District is accepting applications for substitute teacher services. Per diem substitute teacher opportunities are available in all certifications/subject areas. New York State Certification is preferred. Pay rate - $92/day or $102/day after ten consecutive days in the same assignment.

Maintenance Mechanic I 2021-22Maintenance Mechanic I 2021-22

There is an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic I in the Buildings and Grounds department.  This is a 12-month, 8 hour per day position.  The work hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.  Salary:  Based on experience.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (All need not be performed in a given position. Other related
activities may be performed although notlisted.)
Performs a wide variety of tasks of ordinary difficulty relating to the electrical, mechanical, or
construction trades;
Installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds a wide variety ofelectrical fixtures, equipment and systems;
Installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds a wide variety of plumbing equipment and systems;
Installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds sewer systems;
Performs a wide variety of steamfitting, forging, welding, sheet metal fabricating or machine shop
activities;
Mixes and lays cement and concrete for walks, steps, floors and foundations, plasters walls,
partitions and ceilings, cuts stone, lays bricks and blocks, and performs a wide variety of related
masonry and stone cutting activities;
Makes, assembles, installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds doors, stairs, walls, floors, desks,
chairs, cabinets, tables and other wood products, equipment and structures;
Prepares, paints and refinishes wood, metal and other surfaces;
Performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs on autos, trucks, tractors and other mechanical
equipment;
Installs, maintains and/or repairs upholstery, glass, clocks, meters and other miscellaneous items;
Installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds a wide variety of heating and air conditioning equipment and systems;

Installs and repairs carpet, floor and ceiling tile, insulating materials, and roofs;
Installs and maintains signs, traffic islands and places road markings;
Installs, repairs and maintains pumps, presses, furnaces and other waste water equipment;
Assists in the operation of sludge de-watering equipment and chemical feed system;
May be required to complete daily reports.

Contract Substitute Teacher Elementary 2021-2022Contract Sub 2021-2022

The East Irondequoit Central School District is accepting applications for Elementary Building Contract Substitutes. Building Contract Substitutes will follow the teacher calendar through the end of the school year.  Daily Rate:  $102.00 per day.
