There is an immediate opening in the Information Technology Department for an IT Project Manager.  This position is 12-months, working Monday through Friday and responsible for reporting to and assisting the Executive Director of Technology in managing and coordinating the day-to-day technical IT operations to ensure the availability and reliability of systems and networks. 

Duties are but not limited to the following:

  • Reviews and evaluates project plans, design documents and other technical documentation;
  • Sets schedules and deadlines to successfully initiate and accomplish information technology projects;
  • Coordinates activities of staff and third parties/vendors during project execution;
  • Delegates project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, abilities and experience;
  • Managers project implementation and training plans for staff; communicates to supervisors regarding resources and staffing needs;
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and track project performance, including analyzing successful completion of short- and long-term goals;
  • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Oversees the organization and development of appropriate system documents;
  • Assists with vendor selection and in developing computer related vendor contracts.

Cyber Security Coordinator 2024/25Cyber Security Coordinator 2024/25

There is an immediate opening for a Cyber Security Coordinator in the Information Technology Department of the East Irondequoit Central School District.

This senior-level technical position is responsible for development and management of cyber security programs and analyzing security threats  to protect and/or prevent such threats.

Duties are but not limited to the following:

  • Coordinates cyber security programs with information services personnel to ensure program execution;
  • Performs vendor management activities, ensuring the department or agency is receiving proper support as defined in contracts;
  • Monitors cyber and security threats that could affect the department or agency;
  • Investigates, evaluates and implements new technologies;
  • Advises department heads and managers regarding cyber security, terrorism and other data security issues and threats;
  • Obtain, budget, negotiate and submit support contracts for cyber security vendors and other information technology vendors.
  • Participates in the development of security procedures.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Essential knowledge of Microsoft Stack as a security solution including Information Protection Policies, Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Policies, Threat Hunting policies and Anti-phishing program implementation and analysis.  Knowledge of cyber security awareness training methodologies for users.  Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel and Managed SOC services is a required skill.  Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment practices a must.

 

 

 

 

 

$75,000.00 / Year Minimum Starting
