There are immediate openings for Food Service Helpers in the School Nutrition Department for the 2025/26 school year.

DUTIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Serves as cashier on student food service line.
  2. Set up prep area/serving line/cash register for menu items and ease of service.
  3. Prepare foods and ingredients properly, efficiently, and courteously.
  4. Serve food from steam table of food line in cafeteria-style operation.
  5. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
  6. Wash and sanitize all pots, pans, and utensils.
  7. Assist with cleanup of equipment, serving areas, and work areas.
  8. Count/store/return leftover foods properly following all food safety guidelines.
  9. Assist Cook Manager or Food Service Director with additional tasks as needed.

The East Irondequoit Central School District has openings for Cleaners (all shifts). These are 12 month, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week positions. The location of these positions is to be determined.  A shift differential for hours worked will be in addition to hourly rate for B and C shifts.

There are openings for (7) seven Teaching Assistance in the East Irondequoit Central School District.  Teaching Assistants proivide instructional services under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher.

Duties are but not limited to the following:

  • working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects;
  • providing the teacher with information about pupils that will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences;
  • presenting segments of lesson plans, as directed by the teacher;
  • communicating with parents of students at a school site or as otherwise directed by a teacher
  • assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials;
  •  utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs
  • assisting in related instructional work as required

Stronger Connections Building Liaison:

Mental Wellness Focus (1 at St. Ambrose, 2 at Bishop Kearney)

The Stronger Connections Mental Wellness Liaison will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to create plans to build an understanding and sustainability of Mental Health in the community and implementation of best practices in their school community.  The Mental Wellness Liaison will work towards establishing a system of supports and structures that address our student needs across a tiered system of support, with a focus on tier one and prevention efforts. 

Reports to: Building Leader, Building Administration

Performance responsibilities:   

  • Engage in and Provide Professional Development:
    • Take part in professional development opportunities.
    • Disseminate information gained to building staff in meaningful manners (including assisting in the development and/or facilitation of professional development sessions, including asynchronous sessions)
    • Assist in leading professional development
  • Meaningfully Engage in Committee Meetings:
    • Engage in Mental Wellness committee meetings at least four times per year
    • Work closely with the Stronger Connections Building Team, meeting at least 8 per school year, to implement a plan that aligns with the SCG goals and objectives and aligning building work to Mental Wellness.  
  • Data Collection:
    • Record data consistent with the Building plan    
    • Document activities

Stipend: $1,000  

Term of Assignment: This stipend position is grant funded and will focus on building sustainability, as the grant will support this position for one more year.

Time Commitment: The role requires a time commitment of approximately 33 hours per year starting July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Please be prepared to dedicate the necessary time to fulfill the responsibilities outlined.  

Evaluation:  Performance in this position will be evaluated based on the documented activities aligned with the building plan and documented in an individual portfolio.

Stronger Connections Building Liaison:

Social Emotional Learning Focus (5 at Bishop Kearney, 2 at St. Ambrose)

The Stronger Connections Community School Building Liaison will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to create plans to build an understanding and sustainability of Social Emotional Learning (SEL).  The SEL Liaison will work towards creating community and implementing the vision and mission of EICSD throughout the building. 

Reports to: Building Leader, Building Administration

Performance responsibilities:   

  • Engage in and Provide Professional Development:
    • Take part in professional development opportunities.
    • Disseminate information gained to building staff in meaningful way (including assisting in the development and/or facilitation of professional development sessions, including asynchronous sessions)
    • Lead professional development within the building.
  • Meaningfully Engage in Committee Meetings:
    • Engage in SEL committee meetings at least four times per year
    • Work closely with the Stronger Connections Building Team, meeting at least 8 per school year, to implement a plan that aligns with the SCG goals and objectives and aligning building work to SEL.   
  • Data Collection:
    • Record data consistent with the Building plan    
    • Document activities

Stronger Connections Building Liaison:

Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Focus (2 at St. Ambrose)

The Stronger Connections Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Building Liaison will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to create plans to build an understanding and sustainability of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, with a strong focus on Tier One interventions. The MTSS Liaison will work towards elevating the development of a system that creates equity through the development of systems and supports for students.

Reports to: Stronger Connections Building Leader, Building Administration 

Performance responsibilities:   

  • Engage in and Provide Professional Development:
    • Take part in professional development opportunities
    • Disseminate information gained to building staff in meaningful manners (including assisting in the development and/or facilitation of professional development sessions, including asynchronous sessions)
    • Lead professional development on dedicated days per building calendar
  • Meaningfully Engage in Committee Meetings:
    • Engage in MTSS committee meetings at least four times per year
    • Work closely with the Stronger Connections Building Team, meeting at least 8 per school year, to implement a plan that aligns with the SCG goals and objectives and aligning building work to MTSS.  
  • Data Collection:
    • Record data consistent with the building plan    
    • Document activities

Stronger Connections Building Leader:

One per building (Bay Knoll, St. Ambrose, Bishop Kearney)

The Stronger Connections Building Leader will work collaboratively with administration and the SC building liaisons to improve the overall well-being of the building through implementation of supports and services, mental health best practices, and social emotional learning.

Reports to: Building Administration

Performance responsibilities:  

  • Will collaborate, lead and deliver the building plan that aligns with the SCG goals and objectives and includes proposed activities, planned deliverables, timelines, resources, anticipated outcomes, and responsible persons specific to the building  
  • Collaborate with the building Stronger Connections Liaisons, building administration, and EI district staff
  • Plan and lead monthly building level meetings with Stronger Connections Liaisons 
  • Take part in professional development opportunities.
  • Use knowledge gained through professional development to disseminate information to building staff.
  • Assist in creating building structures to increase the number of parents and families coming into the building and engage in the planning, preparation and organization of at least two events.
  • Collect data consistent with the building plan   

Stipend: $2,000 

Term of Assignment:  This stipend position is for one year.  In order to maintain the integrity of the work, the Building Leader will work to embed the necessary work into systems and structures to sustain following the life of the grant.

Time Commitment: The role requires a time commitment of approximately 65 hours per year starting July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Please be prepared to dedicate the necessary time to fulfill the responsibilities outlined. 

Evaluation: Performance in this position will be evaluated based on the portfolio that is created and documents activities related to grant goals.  Evidence of a building plan that addresses the SC goals will used to evaluate the Building Leader’s work. 

$2,000.00 Stipend
