| Probationary Technology Teacher - EHS - 26-27 | Probationary Technology Teacher - EHS - 26-27 | Position Summary The Eastridge High School Technology Teacher provides engaging, hands-on instruction that helps students develop problem-solving, design, technical, and career-readiness skills while preparing them for college, apprenticeships, technical training, and the workforce. The teacher supports students in the nationally recognized Project Lead The Way Engineering program, where learners apply engineering design principles, creativity, teamwork, and real-world problem solving to authentic challenges. The position also contributes to the East Irondequoit Construction and Manufacturing Pathways, helping students build foundational technical skills, workplace competencies, and industry awareness through project-based learning experiences connected to high-demand careers in the Rochester region. Performance Responsibilities The Teacher shall: Instruction & Curriculum - Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to actively engage students
- Integrate technology and instructional resources effectively
Assessment & Data - Design and implement formative and summative assessments
- Analyze student data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families
Classroom Environment - Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
- Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth
- Implement district-approved behavior and safety procedures
Collaboration & Communication - Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), grade-level, or department meetings
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and administrators
Professional Responsibilities - Maintain accurate records as required by district and state guidelines
- Participate in professional development activities
- Comply with district policies, procedures, and contractual obligations
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Terms of Employment - Salary, teaching schedule, and benefits in accordance with the EITA contract
- Appointment subject to Board of Education approval
