Summary

The school Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services to support students’ academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavioral functioning. The school Psychologist collaborates with families, educators, and related service providers to promote positive educational outcomes and ensure compliance with New York State and federal regulations governing special education and student services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and psycho-educational assessments for students referred to the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE).
  • Integrate assessment data from multiple sources to identify students’ strengths, needs, and eligibility for services.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive written evaluation reports and present findings to parents and educational teams.

Consultation & Collaboration

  • Serve as an active member of building-based and district-wide problem-solving teams.
  • Consult with administrators, teachers, support staff, and families regarding instructional strategies, behavior supports, and social-emotional interventions.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and medical or mental health professionals, as appropriate, to support students in the educational setting.

Counseling & Intervention

  • Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to students and families.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
  • Support students’ social-emotional development through evidence-based interventions.

CSE / CPSE & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Participate in and, when assigned, chair CSE, CPSE, and Section 504 meetings.
  • Contribute psychological expertise to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans.
  • Ensure services and documentation comply with NYSED regulations and district policies.

Crisis Response & Program Development

  • Assist in developing and implementing district and building-level crisis intervention plans.
  • Support district initiatives related to student mental health, emotional well-being, and inclusive practices.
  • Participate in professional development and training related to school psychology and student support services.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to school psychology interns from approved university programs, when applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Assistant Superintendent, or Superintendent of Schools.

Position Summary

EICSD seeks a student-centered special educator with a strong skillset to provide specially designed instruction in a Special Class setting. The teacher will serve as case manager for an assigned grade level and collaborate closely with a dedicated Special Class team (special education, general education, related service providers, support staff, and administrators). To deliver high-quality instruction aligned to IEP goals and New York State Learning Standards across curricula.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families

  • Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
  • Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth
  • Implement district-approved behavior and safety procedures

Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), grade-level, or department meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and administrators

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records as required by district and state guidelines
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Comply with district policies, procedures, and contractual obligations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration

Terms of Employment

  • Salary, schedule, and benefits in accordance with the EITA contract
  • Appointment subject to Board of Education approval

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with district procedures, New York State regulations, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

B&G - Head Custodian - DE 2025/26Head Custodian - DE 2025/26

There is an immediate opening for a Head Custodian at Durand Eastman Intermediate School. This is a competitive Civil Service position. This is a 12-month, 8-hour per day position, working 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Job responsibilities are but not limited to the following:

  • Supervises and schedules the work of subordinates;
  • Conducts inspections of cleaning activities to ensure they are performed according to regulations;
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and orders as needed
  • Assists with maintenance and custodial work as necessary.  This includes creating and updating work orders in Master Library;
  • Ensures basic security of buildings (ex. windows, doors, roof hatches are secure);
  • Conducts monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and roof drains;
  • Conducts daily routine inspections (ex. takes readings) of areas/equipment such as fan rooms, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers
  • Reviews exception sheets for accuracy;
  • Maintains grounds where applicable including snow removal.
  • Responsible for cleaning assigned area daily;Coordinates and supervises summer cleaning work;Performs yearly asset tracking for building;Checks scheduler on daily basis and works with office staff to determine custodial needs for building use activities;
$19.00 / Hour Minimum Starting
