The East Irondequoit Central School District seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following:

Position: Elementary Principal

Building: Ivan Green Primary School

Reports to: Superintendent

Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2025

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties of the elementary school principal include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide instructional leadership and managerial oversight to all staff members, including certified and non-certified staff, to ensure a climate that fosters the educational development of all students
  • Supervise and evaluate all staff members
  • Collaborate with the Office of Pupil Personnel Services to program for special education
  • Lead in planning and goal-setting for student achievement
  • Utilize student data in making instructional decisions
  • Establish and maintain an orderly school environment
  • Coordinate elementary curriculum design, development and implementation in cooperation with the District administration
  • Assess and facilitate professional development needs
  • Foster positive relationships and facilitate effective communication channels with all education stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, parents and parental groups
  • Assist with preparation of the building budget
  • Assist with selection, orientation and training of staff
  • Administer all policies and procedures of the District
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
