This is a competitive Civil Service position. This is a 12 month, 8 hour per day position and the work hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (All need not be performed in a given position. Other duties may be performed although not listed.)
Move and set up computer hardware through the school district;
Set up computer software on desktop units and local network;
Installs new and upgraded PC software packages;
Provides computer software support and training to end users;
Manages workflow though assignments from Help Desk;
Troubleshoots basic PC, laptop and individual device software problems;
Refers more difficult software, hardware and equipment problems to higher level staff.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good knowledge of computer technology, individual computing devices, training of end users, good verbal communication skills and ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Knowledgeable in software applications, computer hardware installation, troubleshooting software and hardware problems, general use of AV equipment.
