There are immediate openings for a Head Custodians at Laurelton Pardee Intermediate School / Central Office and Durand Eastman Intermediate School. This is a competitive Civil Service position. This is a 12-month, 8-hour per day position, working 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Job responsibilities are but not limited to the following:

  • Supervises and schedules the work of subordinates;
  • Conducts inspections of cleaning activities to ensure they are performed according to regulations;
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and orders as needed;
  • Assists with maintenance and custodial work as necessary.  This includes creating and updating work orders in Master Library;
  • Ensures basic security of buildings (ex. windows, doors, roof hatches are secure);
  • Conducts monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and roof drains;
  • Conducts daily routine inspections (ex. takes readings) of areas/equipment such as fan rooms, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and swimming pools (leaks, pumps etc.);
  • Reviews exception sheets for accuracy;
  • Maintains grounds where applicable including snow removal.
  • Responsible for cleaning assigned area daily;Coordinates and supervises summer cleaning work;Performs yearly asset tracking for building;Checks scheduler on daily basis and works with office staff to determine custodial needs for building use activities;
$16.45 / Hour Minimum Starting

The East Irondequoit Central School District has openings for Cleaners (all shifts). These are 12 month, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week positions. The location of these positions is to be determined.  A shift differential for hours worked will be in addition to hourly rate for B and C shifts.

$16.00 / Hour Minimum Starting
