There is an immediate opening for a Head Custodian at Eastridge High School. This is a competitive Civil Service position. This is a 12-month, 8-hour per day position, working 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Job responsibilities are but not limited to the following:

  • Supervises and schedules the work of subordinates;
  • Conducts inspections of cleaning activities to ensure they are performed according to regulations;
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and orders as needed;
  • Maintain District pool cleanliness and chemicals 
  • Assists with maintenance and custodial work as necessary.  This includes creating and updating work orders in Master Library;
  • Ensures basic security of buildings (ex. windows, doors, roof hatches are secure);
  • Conducts monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and roof drains;
  • Conducts daily routine inspections (ex. takes readings) of areas/equipment such as fan rooms, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and swimming pools (leaks, pumps etc.);
  • Reviews exception sheets for accuracy;
  • Maintains grounds where applicable including snow removal.
  • Responsible for cleaning assigned area daily;Coordinates and supervises summer cleaning work;Performs yearly asset tracking for building;Checks scheduler on daily basis and works with office staff to determine custodial needs for building use activities;
$19.00 / Hour Minimum Starting
B&G - Laborer 2025/26B&G - Laborer 2025/26

There is an immediate opening for Laborer in the Buildings and Grounds Department.  This position is 12-months, working 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities are but not limited to the following:

  • Assists with installation, maintenance, repair, and cleaning 
  • Assists in construction, patching of sidewalks & parking lots 
  • Snow removal 
  • Landscaping 
  • Performs general building cleaning & repairs 
$16.50 / Hour Minimum Starting
B&G - Part-Time Cleaners 2025/26B&G - Part-Time Cleaners 2025/26

There are immediate openings for up to 5 part-time cleaners in the Buildings and Grounds Department.  These positions are per diem, and shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 4 PM - 10 PM, weekdays.

$15.50 / Hour Minimum Starting
District Painter (Per Diem) 2025/26District Painter (Per Diem) 2025/26

The East Irondequoit Central School District is looking for a Per Diem Painter.  

Hours are flexible and may include evenings and weekends.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and patching holes or cracks. 

  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. 

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. 

  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to prioritize painting needs across the district. 

  • Assist with touch-ups, graffiti removal, and seasonal refresh projects. 

  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.

The East Irondequoit Central School District has openings for Cleaners (all shifts). These are 12 month, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week positions. The location of these positions is to be determined.  A shift differential for hours worked will be in addition to hourly rate for B and C shifts.

$16.50 / Hour Minimum Starting
