There is a July 1, 2025, opening for an Occupational Therapist in the East Irondequoit Central School District at multiple locations. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing a therapy program designed to meet student needs. Responsibilities are but not limited to the following: 1)Evaluate, plan program and provide occupational therapy services for students 2)Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives based on each student's needs, 504 accommodation plan, or SST goal. 3)Deliver on-going occupational therapy services in collaboration with parents, teachers, other school professionals, and appropriate community agencies/services. 4)Participate on school/building/program teams. 5)Actively participate in Committees on Special Education meetings. 6)Engage in thorough and timely reporting. 7)Implement appropriate service delivery models: individual, small group, integrated-cotaught classroom, special classroom MTSS, etc. 8)Establish and maintain a daily schedule. 9)Establish and maintain professional working relationships with school professionals, parents, students, and fellow colleagues within Educational Services. 10)Attend departmental and program assignment meetings.
Job Qualifications:
Must possess or meet Civil Service requirements for the title of Occupational Therapist. Experience teaching students with special needs and sensory integration and neurodevelopment is strongly preferred. Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Experience and/or knowledge of assistive technology equipment. Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in NY Medicaid Guidelines.
