Job Description

There is an opening for Audio Visual Technician in the Information Technology Department.  This is a 12-month, competitive Civil Service title.

Job responsibilities are but not limited to the following: 

• Reviews and recommends audio-visual selections to teaching staff;
• Good knowledge of the type, variety and use of the different audio-visual devices available for instructional purposes;
• Ensures electronic software program is functioning properly;
• Keeps logs of materials available and inventories all books, records, movies, films, slides, and pictures, using computer database software
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships; 

Cooperativeness, initiative, resourcefulness, good judgement, and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Job Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus;
(A) Three (3) years of full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in the operation or maintenance of audiovisual materials, OR;
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree plus one (1) year of experience as defined in (A) above, OR;
(C) Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and(B) above.
