Starting rate $16.00/hr. to $20.40/hr. based upon experience.  $500 signing bonus.

Buildings and Grounds LaborerB&G 2017-18 (2)

There is an immediate opening in East Irondequoit for a Laborer at Buildings and Grounds. This is a 12-month, 8 hours per day position. Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday.

JOB DESCRIPTION                                      

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Removes snow from sidewalks and parking lots by shoveling or using tractor or pick‑up truck and plow;

  • Collects garbage and rubbish;

  • Loads and unloads vehicles and trucks;

  • Drives pick‑up truck or other light vehicle for the delivery of supplies or messages;

  • Operates motor equipment as a trainee under direct supervision;

  • Assists a mechanic with equipment repairs, and service equipment by adding fuel, coolant and lubricants;

  • Performs general building cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing;

  • Assists with painting and unskilled carpentry tasks;

  • Plants and prunes trees, grades lawns, rakes leaves, cuts grass and brush, spades flower; beds, cuts wood, and assists in other grounds maintenance activities;

  • Assists with painting and unskilled carpentry tasks;

  • (All need not be performed in a given position.Other related activities may be performed although not listed.)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  12 month position

2017-18 Teacher Aide - All Grade Levels2017-18 Teacher Aide

 

The East Irondequoit Central School District is accepting applications for Teacher Aide positions throughout the 2017-18 school year. These are 10-month positions and follow the student calendar. Salary:  $9.70 per hour ($10.40 per hour effective January 1, 2018).

2017-2018 Food Service Helpers2017-2018 Food Service

There are two (2) Food Service Helper positions available in the East Irondequoit Central School District, location and hours listed below.  These positions follow the student calendar.  Applicants selected for an interview will be notified by telephone.  Salary:  $9.70 per hour ($10.40 per hour effective 1/1/18).

Helendale Road Elementary School - 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

East Irondequoit Middle School - 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

FOOD SERVICE HELPER -  TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Prepare/transfer foods and other items.
  • Set up prep area/serving line/cash register for menu items and ease of service; stock shelves/freezers/coolers/service areas.
  • Serve/prepare foods properly or operate cash register efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work station; count/store/return leftover foods.
  • Assist with cleanup of equipment, dishes, pots/pans and work areas.
  • Complete paperwork, recordkeeping or inventory tasks as required.
  • Assist food service director and other staff as requested.

 

$9.70 per hour
2017-18 School Bus Attendants2017-18 School Bus Attendants

The East Irondequoit Central School District is accepting applications for Bus Attendant positions that may occur throughout the 2017-18 school year.  As positions become available, applicants selected for an interview will be notified by email.

These positions are for Special Education transportation. These positions are approximately 25 - 30 hours per week and follow the student calendar. Approximate hours:  6:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

$12.05/hr Minimum
