There is an immediate opening for School Secretary at Helendale Road Primary School.  This is a competitive Civil Service position.  A Civil Service title of School Secretary or Office Clerk III or eligible for School Secretary or Office Clerk III is preferred.  This is a 12 month, 8 hour per day position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports, minutes and proceeding of meetings, conferences, and other material relating to the school;
  • Compiles data for inclusion in tentative budget estimates for reports, etc., under administrator's direction;
  • Reads and routes supervisor's mail -- handling items/inquiries when possible and referring those items that can be delegated;
  • Locates and attaches appropriate information to correspondence to be answered by employer;
  • Proofreads typewritten materials for sense, and consistency as well as for spelling, grammar and punctuation;
  • Schedules conferences, meetings ensuring all parties are contacted and any scheduling conflicts resolved;
  • Maintains and establishes confidential files and general office files;
  • Acts as receptionist for administrator, greeting visitors and scheduling appointments;
  • Orders supplies and materials for use of section;
  • Schedules use of district facilities;
  • Checks, codes and processes requisitions, claim vouchers, bills;
  • Operates standard office equipment;
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
$17.25 per hour minimum starting salary
Clerical Aide - Helendale RoadClerical Aide - Helendale Road

There is an immediate opening for Clerical / School Aide in the main office of Helendale Road Primary School.

This is a 10-month position, working Monday - Friday, September 1st to June 30th.

Job responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

  • Acts as a monitor in corridors and other common areas of the building
  • Performs a variety of routine clerical tasks such as making copies, distributing mail, operating a multi-lined phone, maintaining employee files, and filing
  • Acts as receptionist, greeting children, directing deliveries, and assisting parents with inquiries

 

$15.25 Minimum Starting Salary
